pump.fun × high-altitude balloons

Your coin's fees lift its meme to the stratosphere.

Launch on pump.fun with Updraft and half of your creator fees fund a real weather-balloon flight. Every 1.5 SOL your coin sends buys its meme a seat on the payload, tracked live to about 30 km.

Mission profile

From the field to 30 km

  1. 0 km

    Launch

A latex balloon, helium and a foam payload leave a field under prefecture notice.

  2. 12 km

    Tropopause

The cold layer where the weather stops. The tracker keeps beaconing on 434 MHz.

  3. 32 km

    Burst

The latex stretches to the size of a car, then bursts. Peak altitude is logged.

  4. 0 km

    Recovery

A parachute brings the payload down. The team retrieves it and films the footage.

The payload

Twelve seats on one box

Each seat is a printed card: the coin's image and ticker, numbered by slot. When all twelve are paid, the flight is scheduled and launched within 42 days.

How it works

  1. 1

    Launch your coin

A standard pump.fun coin, created from your wallet. Its metadata books it on Updraft.

  2. 2

    Lock the split

A second signature sets pump.fun's fee split: half to the public flight wallet, half to you. pump.fun locks it.

  3. 3

    Fill a seat

Every 1.5 SOL your coin sends to the flight wallet is a seat. Twelve seats make a flight, and the flight is tracked live.

For creators

  • Something happens after day one.

Your coin has a date in the sky and a gauge holders can watch fill, instead of a chart that goes quiet.

  • Content you can't buy elsewhere.

Your meme at 30 km, on camera, with a GPS track to prove it. Post it, pin it, put it in the banner.

  • Keep half your fees.

The other half pays for the flight. Updraft charges 0.03 SOL per launch, shown before you sign.

For traders

  • See where the fees go before you buy.

Every card shows the split, SOL sent to the flight wallet, what's waiting, and the seats it bought, read from the chain.

  • Check the flight yourself.

The tracker is SondeHub's, not ours. The flight wallet is public, and every SOL it spends is listed.

How much trading is a seat?

pump.fun pays a creator fee on every trade. Half of it reaches the flight wallet. Traders pay the same fees as on any pump.fun coin.

Your coin is a standard pump.fun coin: same bonding curve, same trading fees, same graduation.On-chainEnforced on-chain by the pump.fun program.
Half of the coin's creator fees go to the public flight wallet, half to you, and the split can't be edited.On-chainEnforced on-chain by pump.fun's fees program (pfeeUx…): your pledge transaction sets the split once and pump.fun locks it. One exception we can't remove: pump.fun's community-takeover admin can rewrite any split. The coin page reads it live and says so if it changes.
Anyone can push the fees waiting in the split to the flight wallet and to you.On-chainEnforced on-chain: pump.fun's payout instruction is permissionless. The button on each coin page sends it.
The altimeter counts only SOL this coin actually sent to the flight wallet.Tracked by UpdraftTracked by Updraft, read on-chain: every payout is listed with its transaction so you can add them up.
Every 1.5 SOL sent is one seat. Seats are numbered in the order the chain shows them paid, 12 to a flight.Tracked by UpdraftTracked by Updraft: the manifest is computed from payouts anyone can read, by the published rule in the open code.
A full flight launches within 42 days of its twelfth seat, with each seat's meme printed on the payload.Team's wordThe Updraft team's word. Weather, airspace and the authorities decide the actual day. Afterwards you can check it yourself: the SondeHub tracker and the flight video are linked on /flights.
Every SOL that leaves the flight wallet is listed.Tracked by UpdraftTracked by Updraft, read on-chain from the wallet's history. What each spend paid for (helium, balloon, insurance) is the team's word.

Fees

  • Updraft: 0.03 SOL per launch. Half of each coin's creator fees go to the flight wallet, which pays for the flights.
  • pump.fun: its usual trading fees on the dev buy and every trade. Creating the coin costs network rent, about 0.02 SOL.
  • PumpPortal, which builds the creation transaction: 0.5% of the dev buy.
  • The pledge: network rent for pump.fun's split account, under 0.01 SOL.

Questions

Is the flight real?

Yes. A latex weather balloon filled with helium lifts a light payload box to around 30 km, where the balloon bursts and a parachute brings the box down. A GPS tracker beacons its position, which anyone can follow on SondeHub, the public amateur balloon tracker. Every flight is declared to the aviation authorities beforehand.

What exactly flies?

Each seat is the coin's image and ticker, printed on a card and mounted on the outside of the payload box where the camera sees it. A coin with three seats has three cards.

How much trading does a seat take?

At pump.fun's current creator fee (0.30% of volume, read live on the home page), half of it reaches the flight wallet, so one seat takes about 1,000 SOL of trading volume. The simulator shows the arithmetic.

What if a flight is lost or scrubbed?

The log says so, with the reason. A lost payload means no photo or video of those seats; those coins keep their seat numbers and ride the next flight. A scrubbed launch moves to the next weather window.

Where does the money go once it's in the flight wallet?

Balloons, helium, trackers, cameras, parachutes, insurance and the trips to launch and recover. Every outgoing transaction is listed on /flights. What it bought is the team's word; the amounts are on-chain.

Can I change the split later?

No. pump.fun lets a coin's fee split be set once, then locks it. The review screen shows exactly what will be locked before you sign.

What if I don't sign the second transaction?

Then nothing is locked, every creator fee still goes to you, and the coin earns no seats. Its page says "Not locked yet" until you sign the pledge there.

Does Updraft take a fee?

0.03 SOL per launch, paid to Updraft's management wallet in the launch transaction and shown before you sign, on top of the flight wallet's half.

Give your meme an altitude.
